Founded in 1925, Colorado Mesa University offers liberal arts, professional, and technical programs at the doctoral, master's, bachelor's, associate, and certificate levels.
CMU's main campus encompasses 141 acres in the heart of Grand Junction with CMU Tech's Bishop Campus providing a wide array of technical education programs to both college and area high school students. And located at the base of the beautiful San Juan Mountains, CMU's Montrose Campus provides a variety of associate and bachelor degree programs, providing accessible education throughout western Colorado.
The university has a strong winning tradition as a member of the NCAA Division II and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference with The Mavericks holding more than 100 conference and regional titles. Currently 28 teams compete in a variety of intercollegiate varsity sports with CMU offering more than 700 student-athletes the opportunity to earn a degree while competing at a top Division II institution.
