WORLD CLASS CARE
Health Care In Mesa County

Mesa County now serves as the healthcare hub for western Colorado and eastern Utah. We've become a destination for advanced medical care while never losing sight of what matters most: people.

Intermountain Health

St. Mary's Regional Hospital

Founded in 1896 by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, St. Mary’s Regional Hospital has grown from a 10-bed wooden structure into the largest medical center between Denver and Salt Lake City, with 346 beds. The hospital operates the region’s only Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Comprehensive Stroke and Chest Pain Centers, providing critical emergency and advanced specialty care.

St. Mary’s offers comprehensive services, including advanced cardiac and vascular care, a regional cancer center, and orthopedic and spine surgery. It has also been recognized as a “Best Hospital for Maternity Care” by U.S. News & World Report. For more than 130 years, St. Mary’s has remained committed to its founding mission—improving the health of our communities through compassionate, high-quality care, especially for those most in need.
